How to Switch Your UPS Connection From EasyPost to Native

Updated 9/3/20262 min read

As of September 2026, Warehance no longer connects to carriers through EasyPost. If your UPS account is currently connected via EasyPost, you'll need to set up a new native UPS connection and map your shipping methods/profiles to it.

Switching also combines UPS and UPS SurePost into a single connection, and removes EasyPost as a third party — making your UPS connection simpler and more reliable.

Before You Start

  • Have your UPS account login credentials ready — you'll be asked to log in at ups.com to authorize the new connection.

1. Go to Carrier Connections:

  • Click Shipments in the left sidebar.
  • Click Carrier Connections.
  • Click the purple Create button in the top right corner.
You can tell whether a carrier connection is connected through EasyPost or through the native connection by checking the Carrier Type column. easypost_ups means it's connected through EasyPost; ups_native means it's your new native connection.

2. Select UPS:

  • Choose UPS from the list of carriers.
  • Click the purple Next button.

3. Enter Your UPS Account Details:

  • Enter an account nickname (for your own internal reference only).
  • Enter your UPS account number.
  • Click Connect.
If you use both UPS and UPS SurePost, these will combine into a single new connection — you don't need to set them up separately.

4. Authorize the Connection:

  • You'll be redirected to ups.com.
  • Log in to your UPS account to authorize the connection.
  • You'll be redirected back to Warehance automatically once authorization is complete — your new connection is now set up.

5. Review Carrier-Specific Settings (Optional):

  • Click into your new UPS connection.
  • Go to Carrier Specific Settings and enable anything you'd like turned on.

6. Remap Your Shipping Methods or Profiles:

  • Go to Shipping Methods or Shipping Profiles.
  • Filter by Connections with Active Services.
  • Select your old EasyPost UPS connection from the filter.
  • For each method or profile shown, uncheck the EasyPost UPS service(s) and check the matching service(s) on your new native connection.

7. Deactivate the Old Connection:

  • Go to Carrier Connections.
  • Deactivate your old EasyPost UPS connection.
  • If you use UPS for returns, confirm your new native connection is also enabled for returns.

That's it — your UPS shipments will now run entirely through the new native connection.
