USPS Errors
"An indicia company name must be configured by USPS..."
Error Message:
An indicia company name must be configured by USPS for manifestMID [MID] in order to create a shipping label. Please contact your postal representative.
What This Means:
This error indicates that USPS has not finished configuring your Mailer ID (MID) on their end. Specifically, the "indicia company name" — the business name that appears on your shipping labels — has not been set up or approved by USPS for the MID associated with your account. This is a USPS-side configuration issue and cannot be resolved from within Warehance.
How to Fix:
- Contact Warehance Support and let them know you're seeing this error when trying to create a shipping label.
- The Warehance team will reach out to USPS on your behalf to get the indicia company name configured for your MID.
- Once USPS completes the configuration, label creation will work as expected.
This is not an issue with your Warehance settings or address information. It is entirely a USPS account configuration issue that requires USPS to make changes on their side.
UPS Errors
"The Shippers shipper number cannot be used for the shipment"
Error Message:
The Shippers shipper number cannot be used for the shipment.
What This Means:
This error means your UPS account has been suspended and is no longer authorized to generate labels. Expired payment or billing information on file with UPS is the most common cause. This is a UPS account-level issue and cannot be resolved from within Warehance.
How to Fix:
- Reach out to UPS directly to reactivate your account and update any expired billing details.
- Once your account is back in good standing, label creation will resume normally.
This has nothing to do with your Warehance configuration or shipment details — it is strictly a UPS account issue that UPS will need to resolve on their end.
