This guide walks through how to connect carriers in Warehance so you can rate, purchase labels, and manage shipments seamlessly across your operation.
Carrier Connections allow you to integrate your shipping carriers directly into Warehance. Once connected, you can:
- Rate shop across carriers
- Purchase shipping labels
- Apply shipping logic across orders
- Enable carriers for returns
Carrier connections can be configured at both the 3PL level and the client level, and clients can also manage their own connections.
1. Navigate to Carrier Connections
- From the left-hand navigation, click Shipments
- Select Carrier Connections
2. Create a New Carrier Connection
- Click Create in the top right
- Select the carrier you want to connect
- Click Next
3. Enter Carrier Details
- Add a Nickname for the connection
- Enter the required credentials (such as API keys)
Each carrier will require different credentials depending on their platform. These can typically be found within your carrier account.
4. Complete Setup
Once all required fields are filled out:
- Save the connection
- Your carrier will now be available for rating and shipping within Warehance
Enabling Carrier Connections for Returns
Carrier connections can also be used to generate return labels.
To enable a carrier for returns:
- Navigate to the Carrier Connections table
- Locate the carrier you want to use
- Toggle Enable for Returns
Once enabled:
- The carrier’s rates will appear when creating return shipments
- You’ll be able to generate and send return labels to customers
Key Notes
- Carrier connections can be set up at both the 3PL and client level
- Clients can manage their own carrier connections if needed
- Each carrier may have slightly different setup requirements
