Creating Location Types

Video Tutorial

1. Navigate to Location Types:

  • In your Warehance dashboard, look at the left-hand side menu.
  • Click Warehouses.
  • Select Location Types.

2. Delete Default Location Types (Optional):

  • Select the checkboxes next to each one.
  • Click More Actions > Bulk Delete.
  • Confirm the deletion.

3. Create a Location Type Manually

  • Click More Actions
  • Select Create
  • Enter a name (for example, Bin 4x4x6)
  • Click Create Location Type

4. Import Location Types in Bulk

  • Click More Actions
  • Select Import
  • Download the provided CSV template
  • Fill in the import template
  • Save as a CSV file

5. Upload and Map the CSV

  • Click Select File and upload your CSV
  • Map the CSV column name to the Warehance field Name
  • Click Confirm to finish the import.
