Warehance gives you several flexible ways to create products depending on your workflow. You can create them automatically through marketplace integrations, add them manually, or import them in bulk with a CSV. This guide walks you through each option.
1. Start on the Products Page
On the left-hand side of your Warehance dashboard, click Products.
You’ll see your products table, where all existing items appear and where new ones will be added.
---
2. Create Products Automatically Through a Marketplace Connection (Method 1)
The easiest way to get started is by connecting an external marketplace like Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, or eBay.
Once connected:
- Warehance automatically pulls in all product listings from that marketplace.
- Imported products will appear in the Products table.
- No manual setup is needed unless you want to modify details.
This is the recommended method if your catalog already exists elsewhere.
---
3. Create a Product Manually (Method 2)
If you want to add a single product:
- Click More Actions in the top right.
- Select Create.
- Fill out the required product fields such as name, SKU, and client.
- Click Create Product.
Your new product will immediately appear in the Products table.
This method is ideal for quick one-offs or test products.
---
4. Import Products Using a CSV File (Method 3)
Bulk importing is the fastest way to upload a full product catalog.
Step 1: Start the Import
To access the import page:
- Go to the Products page.
- Click More Action in the top right.
- Select Import.
From here, you can upload your own CSV or download the Warehance template for proper formatting.
The template includes standard product fields such as Name, SKU, Weight, Width, Height, and more.
Step 2: Fill Out the Template
Enter your product information into the template.
When finished, export the file as a CSV.
Step 3: Upload and Map Columns
Upload your completed CSV into Warehance.
You’ll see two columns:
- Warehance Properties on the left
- CSV Columns from your file on the right
Use the dropdowns to match each Warehance property with the correct column from your CSV.
If your file doesn’t match the template exactly, that's fine — you can manually map any column to any Warehance field.
Step 4: Assign a Client
At the top of the import screen, select the client these products belong to.
All imported products will be created under this client.
Step 5: Use Custom Values (Optional)
If you want a specific field to have the same value across all imported products:
- Select Custom Value from the dropdown next to the property.
- Enter the value (for example, Width = 5).
All imported products will automatically use that value.
Step 6: Confirm the Import
Once all required fields are mapped, click Confirm.
Warehance will process the import, and your products will appear in the Products table.
You can validate this by searching for one of the new products (for example, “green t-shirt”).
