This guide walks through how to safely migrate from the Order Desk Amazon integration to the native Amazon integration in Warehance without creating duplicate orders or importing historical data incorrectly.
Migration Goal
This setup ensures that:
- Historical Amazon orders remain in Order Desk
- All new Amazon orders flow through the native Amazon integration
- No overlap or duplicate imports occur
Step 1: Connect the Native Amazon Account
- Navigate to your Warehouse.
- Click Stores in the left hand navigation.
- Under the correct Client, connect your Amazon account using the native Amazon integration.

During setup:
- Give the Amazon store a clear and recognizable name
- Review the Don’t import orders before setting
This field defaults to the current date and time, which is the correct configuration.
This ensures that:
- Order Desk continues handling all historical Amazon orders
- The native Amazon integration only imports future orders
Do not change this setting unless you intentionally want to import historical Amazon orders.
Step 2: Confirm the Connection Was Successful
After completing the Amazon OAuth flow, you will be redirected back to Warehance.
Confirm the following:
- The Amazon store appears under the correct client
- The connection shows as successful
Once confirmed, you can proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Disable Amazon Order Imports in Order Desk
Next, switch to Order Desk to stop new Amazon orders from importing there.
- Log in to Order Desk.
- Open your Store.
- Click into the Amazon Marketplace integration.
- Locate the order import settings.
- Uncheck all Amazon Marketplace options so no new orders are imported.
This creates a clear cutoff point for new Amazon orders.
Step 4: Confirm Order Desk Is No Longer Importing Amazon Orders
After disabling the marketplace imports:
- Order Desk will stop importing new Amazon orders
- Existing Amazon orders in Order Desk remain unchanged
- No future Amazon orders will flow through Order Desk
This confirms that Order Desk is no longer actively importing Amazon orders.

Step 5: Validate the Transition

At this stage:
- Historical Amazon orders live in Order Desk
- New Amazon orders will arrive through the native Amazon integration
- No historical backfill occurs in the native integration
No additional configuration is required.
Step 6: Sanity Check the First New Amazon Order
When your first new Amazon order is placed:
- Confirm it appears in the native Amazon integration
- Verify it does not appear in Order Desk
This quick check ensures there is no accidental overlap between systems.
Summary
- Order Desk retains historical Amazon orders
- The native Amazon integration handles all future orders
- No duplicate imports occur
- The migration remains clean and controlled
If anything looks unexpected during the transition, pause and verify import settings before continuing.
